Shock Absorbers


Enidine's non-adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers can accommodate varying energy conditions. This family of tamperproof performance, cycle after cycle. Non-adjustable models are designed to absorb maximum energy within a compact envelope size. A recent addition to Enidine's catalogue is the new ECO Series of shock absorbers, the industry's first environmentally-friendly line of industrial shock absorbers. Enidine ECO Series products are designed specifically with environmental sustainability in mind, but not at the expense of performance.

We also offer a complete line of adjustable shock absorbers to suit applications with varying or undefined input parameters.

Standard adjustable or custom-orificed non-adjustable models are also available as well as optional fluids and seal packages to expand standard operating temperature range from (15º F to 140º F) to (-40º F to 210º F). For easy maintenance, all sizes of ITT Enidine Inc.'s heavy duty hydraulic shock absorbers are fully field-repairable. These products also offer piston rod extension sensor systems for reuse safety requirements."



The design of Jarret Series Industrial Shock Absorber utilizes the unique compression and shear characteristics of specially formulated silicone elastomers.

These characteristics allow the energy absorption and return spring functions to be combined into a single unit without the need for an additional gas or mechanical spring stroke return mechanism

ITT Enidine Inc. Air Springs are highly durable, precisely engineered and cost-effective for use in a wide variety of actuation and vibration isolation applications. With time-tested designs incorporating fabric-reinforced Wingprene™ or natural rubber flex-member construction and corrosion-protected end retainers, ITT Enidine Air Springs provide superior quality and performance. As actuators, Enidine Air Springs can provide either linear or angular motion.

These air springs (air shock absorbers) offer a favorable stroke-to-compressed-height ratio when compared to air cylinders, and they can accept a wide variety of actuation media such as air, water, nitrogen or anti-freeze. As isolators, ITT Enidine Air Springs are effective in reducing the harmful effects of vibration. They can simultaneously isolate vibration and regulate load height as well as allow for consistent vibration isolation under varying loads.


One of the most efficient forms of renewable energy is hydro-electricity. A typical hydropower plant will produce electricity by the use of hydro-electric generators. Problems often arise with these generators over time due to high frequency vibrations excited by periodic and stochastic forces originating in the hydraulic machines and generator. Usually the vibration peaks out at the guiding bearing above the generator rotor, causing substantial damage to the generator and surrounding structure.

ITT Enidine has developed the new Visco-Elastic Support (VES) product line to provide improved dynamic behavior of the rotor-bearing system and thermal force reduction to bearing support structures.

The working principle of VES is by providing high dynamic stiffness, adding supplementary damping to the rotor-bearing system, low static stiffness for thermal movement. This reduces dynamic response of the generator, prevents the transfer of excessive thermal forces to the civil structure, thereby extending the life of the generator, structure and increases the output efficiency of the power plant.


For over 40 years, Enidine’s products have safely protected the crane operator and equipment during the transfer of materials and movement of products.

These products are individually sized to decelerate moving loads under various conditions and in compliance with industry mandated safety standards. They are engineered to conform with OSHA, AISE, CMAA and other safety specifications such as DIN and FEM.
